Foliage Physics Overhaul
This mod is a total rework of the previous Reactive Foliage mod.
It completely redesigns vegetation volumes across the game. Bushes, shrubs, and general plants are no longer simple visual assets, but physical elements integrated into gameplay. Trees remain vanilla to avoid breaking AI behavior.
Foliage can now be used as real cover. Units will naturally position themselves more effectively in open terrain, taking advantage of vegetation for protection. At the same time, plants now genuinely block line of sight. Visibility depends on density and size: the thicker and larger the foliage, the harder it is to see through for both AI and player.
Despite acting as cover and blocking vision, vegetation remains penetrable by most projectiles. If a target is known to be behind foliage, shots can still pass through and potentially hit them, preserving tactical depth.
Custom visual effects have also been added: foliage now reacts dynamically when hit, generating flying leaves and debris that vary based on plant type and season.

- Requires the vaulting patch to function correctly (already compatible with the current beta version)
- HEAT projectiles do not penetrate foliage: they detonate on impact due to their explosion-based system, destroying the plant and allowing subsequent shots to pass through
For a more complete and immersive experience, this mod pairs well with my Tactical Movement Overhaul, which further refines unit movement, animations, and pacing in combat situations.
