F4F-3 Wildcat (Beta 6.0)
The F4F-3 Wildcat was the main frontline carrier fighter of the United States Navy from 1940 to 1943. Although it is commonly thought to be inferior to its main adversary, the Japanese A6M Zero, it more than held its own until it was able to be replaced by more capable fighters. The Wildcat played a crucial role in defeating the Japanese at the Battle of the Coral Sea, Midway, and Guadalcanal. It was a truly capable fighter, especially in the hands of capable pilots such as Joe Foss and Jimmy Thatch who developed tactics that turned the tide of the air war in the Pacific. This mod brings the aircraft to life, packing 4×50 Caliber machine guns that will tear through any enemy aircraft unlucky enough to cross your gunsight. There are still some bugs because I am new to modding and this aircraft is still in its beta phase, but I will fix them over time.
