Situation Update:
The triumph at Havana has been overshadowed by a strategic catastrophe in the North Atlantic. After the successful neutralization of Cuba, our battle-hardened task groups returned to Norfolk for urgent replenishment. There, they were consolidated into TG 41.2 "Full House" – the most powerful carrier strike group currently active in the US Navy. While a portion of our screen remained behind to maintain the Cuban blockade, the core of "Full House" was originally slated for deployment to Norway to prevent Soviet amphibious landings.
However, the tide of war in Europe has turned grim. With NATO’s land front crumbling, Moscow has launched a high-stakes gamble: a massive breakout of troops and materiel to reinforce Cuba, break the blockade, and flood the Atlantic with Soviet submarines.
A combined US-British task force centered around the USS Kitty Hawk attempted to hold the GIUK Gap, but they were not enough. After a week of relentless, brutal combat, the Allied screen was decimated. The Kitty Hawk itself, battered and damaged, was forced to flee toward the shelter of Iceland. Simultaneously, Soviet Tu-22M Backfires cratered the runways at Keflavik Airbase, leaving the entire region without land-based air cover.
The Window of Opportunity:
Our only saving grace is the exhaustion of the enemy. The Soviet battlecruiser Kirov, having spent its entire primary missile magazine against the Kitty Hawk’s escorts, has been forced to withdraw to port to rearm. This has caused a temporary lull as the Soviet fleet regrouped. Sensing total victory, the Soviet convoy has decided to push forward into the Atlantic without the Kirov’s protection. TG 41.2 "Full House" has arrived just in time to intercept them.
Your Orders:
Admiral, you are the final barrier. "Full House" must act as a wall of steel between the Soviet "Iron Sledge" and the open ocean.
Intercept and Destroy: Use the air wing of the USS Nimitz and the long-range Tomahawk cruise missiles from your surface combatants to annihilate the Soviet landing ships and tankers.
The Silent Vanguard: Leverage your attached SSNs to identify the convoy’s core and eliminate high-value targets before they reach weapon release range.
Intelligence Report:
Aerial Threat: Extreme. Multiple regiments of Tu-22M Backfires and Tu-16K Badgers are active. WARNING: You have NO land-based air support. The Nimitz is your only shield.
Naval Threat: SAG "Sever" is a formidable formation of Sovremennyy and Udaloy destroyers. Even without the Kirov, their SAM umbrella is lethal.
Subsurface: An Oscar-class SSGN is suspected to be leading the vanguard. Use your escorts to maintain a tight ASW screen.
Victory Conditions:
Avenge the Kitty Hawk by destroying all Soviet supply ships within the convoy. The "Iron Sledge" must be shattered here and now. The security of the Atlantic and the fate of the Caribbean front rest on your shoulders.
