HOSTOMEL COUNTERATTACK

Hostomel, Kyiv Oblast, Ukraine

In the early hours of the morning, Russian VDV airborne forces captured Hostomel/Antonov Airport during a helicopter assault in an attempt to establish an air bridge near Kyiv. Ukrainian defenders suffered heavy losses, local units were scattered, and multiple armored and support vehicles were destroyed during the initial attack.

However, surviving Ukrainian forces quickly regrouped west of Blistavytsia in a temporary field camp. The remaining combat-capable personnel of the 4th Rapid Reaction Brigade Tank Company are attempting to return every operational vehicle to combat service — including damaged Ukrainian armor and captured Russian armored vehicles recovered during the fighting.

Russian armored presence in the area has grown significantly since the initial assault, with enemy mechanized units pushing deeper toward the Hostomel axis in support of the airborne operation.

Due to the lack of combat-ready armored forces in the region, command has assigned BUREVIY-1 to lead the remaining tank column. Your objective is to break through Russian positions, secure the Blistavytsia–Hostomel route, and launch a counterattack to retake the airport.

Russian airborne forces have already reinforced their positions around the airfield, and additional enemy reinforcements are expected to arrive soon. Ukrainian forces must act quickly before the entire region falls under Russian control.

Lead the armored column. Retake Hostomel. Push them back from Kyiv.
