Regarding the chainsaws, they feature two different attack modes,you should press R to turn on the motor. They consume gasoline as ammunition, you can find them in Entities –> NMRIH.
All firearm-type weapons come with a s###de function. Hold down the "K" to activate it (you can release the key at any time to cancel).
