Volkswagen Polo III
It was introduced in 1994 as the third generation of the Volkswagen Polo. Unlike its predecessor, it gained an aerodynamic shape and shared the same platform as the second-generation Seat Ibiza. In 1995, it achieved second place in the European Car of the Year poll. The vehicle was available with a variety of engine options and was considered very economical. Approximately 3.5 million of these vehicles were produced in Europe and a significant number in Argentina, with some remaining in production in modified versions for almost 10 years longer.
