4v4 -F6- Floodgates of Hell
The base layout in this map was designed to encourage teamwork or lose, and it is best played in 3v3 or 4v4 modes.
Specifically, the front position has better odds of surviving if the players in the rear bring support as soon as possible. The bases in this 4v4 map are staggered asymmetrically. Position one is way up front, position two three and four are much further back. Position three also hangs while the others are grounded. This creates both very close battles and very distant battles. The hanging base is offset from the grounded bases to reduce the odds of a core falling on a teammate.
If you end up in position one you’re basically in a close-range 1v1 battle. Expect an instant fire fight with your opposing neighbor. If you end up in the back positions, do your best to rapidly acquire weapons to support the player in position one. Putting pressure on the enemy’s front position will help your teammate up front stay in the battle. A lack of support will likely result in position one dying early game, unless that player is very good at close range 1v1s. The hanging base has a height advantage. After you have secured your teams front position, consider taking out the hanging base next.
