4v4 -F6- LandCruisers Dragon Rush
The map is designed to force players into tank-to-tank battles or die. Base sizes are constrained to facilitate quick matches. It is difficult (but not impossible) to shoot at the incoming tanks from your main fort. There isn’t a lot of room to build many down-firing weapons. This requires players to build a tank and defend their bases in tank-to-tank battles (mostly). The main bridge is partly destructible, but the mechanics of the bridge supporting your tank is permanent. Your tank-forts drive on top of an invisible block.
You can fire weapons over the dragon’s head to harass the enemy’s economy (typically T3 or T4 style weapons). You can drive a tank-fort across the dragons nose to harass the enemy’s economy. You can drive tank-forts across the lower portion of the map. The core can only be destroyed from the bottom, so most players will start at the bottom, but running harassment warfare across the top will keep your enemies multitasking, perhaps to their doom. Once a player dies enemies can seize that now neutral base and begin close-up neighbor to neighbor warfare.
Why 50% gravity? LandCruisers maps are huge. Slightly reduced gravity allows projectiles to fly farther facilitating long distance tank battles. Additionally, tanks are less prone to bottoming out, and vehicle mechanics feels more natural.
Special thanks to SamsterBirdies for making the awesome Cave Environment.
If you like the map, give it a thumbs up. This will help others in the Forts community find maps that you think are worth a play. If you think this map could be improved or you have a map idea you want me to build, leave a comment. I would love to hear from you.
