Project Proteus: Proteus Megamap
**Update 1.1! Ordo is removed from the map, so Grunger only starts on Gargon, however he will still start on Ordo on other maps that don’t have Gargon yet. My collaborator TechSupport also prepared some textstrings that rename the main factions if they’re still on the map in a 12 ABY start. So the Eriadu Authority is now Eriadu Authority Remnants, Zsinj’s Empire is called Zsinj Remnants, and Pentastar Alignment is now Pentastar Remnants, etc.**
**Important: Since the base Project Proteus Submod has not yet been updated with the futureproofing changes for this mod, Grunger and Imperial Kaikielius are currently unavailable on the megamap. If you want you can enable them in the Project Proteus modfiles by going to your Steam install, steamapps->workshop->content->32470->3711433343 and then data->scripts->library, open the ProteusWarlordLibrary file, and remove or change the LastYear=-line under PRAJI and add "GARGON" to the Planets brackets under GRUNGER. Don’t forget a comma between his two planets or else the framework will crash on startup.**
This is a sandbox-style Galactic Conquest Map originally envisioned as a testing environment for Project Proteus. In order to make this map run, you need both the main Thrawn’s Revenge mod and the Project Proteus submod.
The design principles are: feature every possible Proteus start, increased starting forces, include as many high-value and special planets as possible, and have all the factions start out on roughly equal footing. The Empires at War map in base Thrawn’s Revenge is disappointing in these aspects, so I teamed up with fellow modder TechSupport to bring you this, intended to be the ultimate sandbox Proteus experience.
A note on lore-friendliness: This map setup is not entirely lore-friendly, including having various factions active on the map despite being no longer around in the lore and therefore not having leaders, like Zsinj, EA, and Pentastar. The main Project Proteus mod might in a future variant have a more lore-friendly progressive map that will still accommodate all the Minor Warlords.
This map will give most Proteus factions an easier start while having enough resources to produce explosive endgames. Keep in mind that even with the increased starting forces and the weaker main factions, a lot of Proteus starts are still quite hard.
