Description:

A lightweight, update proof mod that reduces male fertility by 40% after a male character has his first living child, making additional heirs harder to secure without preventing dynasties from getting started.

What it does:
-Once a male character has his first living child, applies a permanent fertility reduction
-Every male is guaranteed at least one child before the penalty kicks in
-Works for AI and player alike
-Applies retroactively at game start and checks once a year on January 1st. Characters who have their first child after January 1st will not receive the modifier until the following year

Why?
Simple, I think you have too many kids, too fast in this game. CK3 doesn’t account for infant mortality plus I find it annoying to deal with that many kids constantly non stop.

Game Rule Options:
Off
15% reduction
25% reduction
40% reduction (default)

Compatibility:
Compatible with all mods and all future game updates. The mod uses only character modifiers, meaning it will never conflict with other mods or break when the game updates. No vanilla files are edited.

Removing the mod:
Before disabling, use the "Remove Fertility Reduction" decision to clear the modifier from all characters. Save, then disable the mod. This prevents the modifier persisting on your save after the mod is gone.
