Angels of Warhammer

Zakiel seems to dissapear when you enter encamp stance without any building constructed. A fix will come, but to fix it in the meantime just go inside a city and construct a building, it will run smothly afterwards. (by the way, Zakiel is still selectable even then in the army/lord panel).
Also i recommend to build the horde recruitment capacity and the horde growth buildings first.
This mods adds to the Empire a unique Angelic Legendary Lord named Zakiel. He has some unique skills that buff angels and acolytes and he is a caster of the Lore of Light.
He has a custom horde skin (that evolves with levels) with unique custom angelic themed units available for recruitement :
- Four unique caster angel heroes : Summer Angel, Autumn Angel, Winter Angel and Spring Angel. Halfway between a melee character and a wizard in their stats but also more expensive. They can cast spells from the lore of Fire, Death, Ice and Life.
- One angel warrior hero : a Seraphim, very strong but very expensive.
- Two early-mid-game units named Acolytes of the Light, one is melee spearmen unit, the other is magical ranged archers. They are mixed units with both men and women that were recruited as the servants of the angels. They have a custom effect "Holy Fire" that removes 10 spell resistance and magical attacks from the target.
- A late-game melee flying unit of angelic warriors named "Angels of Battle", recruitable with other units in Zakiel’s horde buildings. They play similar as pegasus knights.
Both the LL and units are available in custom battle. (but at the moment casters don’t have spells in custom battle only)
if you have advice on balancing i’m all ears, constructive criticism is always welcome.
I’m not a lore expert in warhammer but my guess is this is not lore-friendly. If there are some loremasters among you that know of somekind of angels in the warhammer world, please let me know and i will update the unit description and maybe even the models to be more lore-friendly.
It is compatible with the vast majority of mods.
TO DO– Remove some animations that don’t fit angelic warriors
– Improve the model – i’m gonna go over all the units and redo them (at least partially)
– Change the color of the vfx to match each angel
– Change some unit cards to better fit the actual unit
– Angels of Battle – Reduce the sound volume of the wings and attacks
– Improve some wings animation (the rig of the wings to be more precise).
– Adjust Portholes camera across the board
– Customize agents skill tree
– Find a way to deal with valkia’s shield once and for all
– Create a weaker version of Divine power
– Fix some wings LOD (Summer Angel and Spring Angel)
– Add more units : one winged flying artillery, archangels, gargoyles
– Fix some units in custom battle (casters mostly)
– Balance and stuffWhat’s to come ?I plan to do a full custom holy faction centered around angelic warriors, with a unique tech tree, a unique faction mechanic and a full roster with custom unit cards based around flying units with low model count but high impact.
The faction will : - Have a roster similar to ogres with some cheap land soldiers and units followed by units of angels with increasing power but lowering unit count (tier 2 angel unit with 24 models then tier 3 stronger archangel unit with 16 models, etc…)
- Play similar to beastmen with fast moving flying melee infantry focused on attack rather than defense
- Feel similar to dwarfs with good innate magic resistance and high morale (they are angels, they’re not gonna flee the battlefield because of a few bruises) but also high maintenance at early game
- Maybe one artillery unit (luminark-like) and one ground ranged unit and one flying expensive one (but only if i manage to get the animations right)
- Weaknesses will be : few ranged options forcing the melee and therefore taking damage; only one artillery unit (maybe zero even); low life total; low unit count meaning easily surrounded and cut down if not played carefully; expensive in the early game

FAQQ: Are you going to do X/Y/Z submod ?
A: Maybe i’ll do a submod that adds my units to other factions (Khorne, Cathay and Norsza have been requested for now) and maybe one submod for SFOQ : There is no horde buildings
A : When you recruit Zakiel, immediatly go inside a city and build the first main building of the camp, otherwise, Zakiel will appear invisible and you will not be able to select him. After that’s done, everything is like normal.Q : I cannot recruit his units
A : You need to construct the building that adds + 2 to recruitment capacity to be able to recruit his units (in addition to the building that unlocks the recruitement of that particular unit that you want)Q : Spring Angel cannot fly
