Military-like Colors
Military-like colors that replace the default "rainbow" color selections.
I’ve only been tired of the bright colors for a couple of decades now. After reading Jozef’s guide, I decided to try to make a more natural set of colors, mainly for skirmish. After lots of aggravation, a fair amount of cursing, and a bit of luck, this is what I came up with.
I would have liked to make some of the radar colors more distinguishable, but I couldn’t do anything about that with my limited skills. The color settings for the radar map are also used for the color swatches on the skirmish setup page. I didn’t have a lot of leeway because it started to destroy the color dropdown list the more I tweaked on the radar map colors.
I don’t know what this will do to other play, apart from skirmish. I did try the campaigns for each side and, at the start at least, it’s white vs OD for the Soviet campaign and grey vs khaki for Allied.
