Description:

UPDATED February 18, 2025. Added five groups of elements. (1) Washline (there are 8 variants in one object based on decals), (2) Buffer stops (multiple decal variants within two objects), (3) Fences, (4) Wall caps for retaining and other walls, (5) Colorable tiles for platforms (several decals for different granite patterns).

UPDATED December 10, 2023. Added a different color of earth filler (more of a reddish hue) that I use for train tracks. Also added platform wall textures that can be useful, for example, for underground (metro etc.) stations. When attached to my platform track, they will snap in place to where there would otherwise be a black tunnel wall. There are three versions – granite full-height, granite lower-half, and stucco upper-half. See screenshot examples.

Also added two types of roofs – (1) a colorable transparent (glass) roof. This is based on WaW’s original glass frame included with the game, but can be colored, and is also oriented along the tracks. The gradient has been changed so that the center of the tile is the lightest (i.e. top of the arched frame). This element can be very helpful for depot or station roofs if you want to have the right color but still be able to see the track under the roof. It can also be used as platform roofs and in various other ways. See screenshots. (2) a combination solid/glass roof, similar to how they built tram depots in Milan. The glass parts are set so you can see either 1520/1524mm or 1435mm track underneath it (if attached to this track).

UPDATED November 29, 2023. Added blue colored asphalt and two other platform types.

This pack includes 11 different space fillers (i.e. what you can use as the background for the track) and 12 other objects, platforms, edges and railings. These are integrated with my Road, Railway and Light Rail/Tram track packs. All object names start with AVP. All objects should easily snap into proper position when a track is picked.

The idea for the fillers came up because a typical station where only tracks have earth or gravel type background and the space between the tracks is empty looks to me to be incomplete and missing something. The use of these filler is illustrated in the screenshots.

There are three platforms in the pack – (1) for wider (2.5-2.6m) vehicles, placed by default at 1.32 m from the track center (leaves 2-12 cm clearance to the vehicle side), 2.5 m deep, (2) for narrower (2.2-2.3m) vehicles, placed by default at 1.22 m from the track center (same, 2-12 cm clearance), also 2.5 m deep, and (3) for narrower vehicles in narrower spaces, the platform is 1.1 m deep only as you may often see in Japan.

A platform railing is included in the pack and can be snapped into place at the back of the platform type (1). To put it into place for platform (2), reduce the top placement value by 0.10 m. A platform railing is integrated into the graphics of platform type (3).

I hope to be able to add more platforms related objects in the future.

Feedback is welcome.
