Description:

She will appear in Derphy as a free adventurer. You can recruit her just like any other adventurer. If left idle for too long, she may move to other towns just like other adventurers – you can check her location on the Adventurer Ranking board.

As with my other mods, the Black Star items designed specifically for this character will be added to the workbench recipes. Simply click a workbench to learn them automatically.

As for the mod cover image – I combed through all the official artbooks, but couldn’t find a single picture that simultaneously met all the requirements: "wearing her original outfit", "square composition without being photobombed by other characters", and "good-looking". So I ended up using the original remake’s character art directly… But because I’ve run into moderation trouble for similar reasons before, I had to call in my old friend Speaki for help. There is no Speaki overlay on the in-game art.

——— Character Introduction ———

Hikage is a warrior-type character with high Dexterity and Speed, specializing in short swords and dual-wielding.

Her default engagement range is 1 tile, and she aggressively closes in on enemies for melee combat. I’ve given her an innate 40% perfect evasion rate and 30 points of riposte enchantment, which provide some – albeit somewhat inconsistent – resistance to physical attacks.

Her skill "Killing Intent" is based on the original game’s 3-orb ninja art. For a limited time, it increases her Speed, critical rate, and the poison damage dealt by her attacks. The effectiveness and duration scale with her Dexterity and Spell Strength stats… This means Spell Strength does slightly boost her combat power, but not very efficiently. Cooldown: 75 turns.

I’ve designed two Black Star weapons for her.

The first is her own blade, which deals bonus Poison and Nerve damage on attack and has an innate attack range of 3 tiles. This allows her to perform ranged attacks even when adjacent tiles are blocked by summoned creatures or other party members (a nod to the thrown knife attacks seen in her CG art. Since thrown weapons in Elin scale exclusively with Strength, raising both Strength and Dexterity-based combat styles would make character progression difficult, so I omitted the thrown weapon skill component).

The second is the keepsake blade of Hinata – a character who only appears in the story. I’ve designed this weapon to have stable but low baseline damage, while dealing massive bonus damage against humans – a blade "specialized for killing people."
