Description:

This is a simple mod that fixes the engine trails that are broken in Homeworld 2 Classic from Homeworld Remastered Collection Edition (exemple of the bug in the first screenshot with Vaygr scouts).

• Fighters
• Ressource Collectors
• Corvettes
• Missiles

This mod should also be compatible with other mods, confirmed to work with :

• Complex Enhanced 8.8.1 (TrailFix already included)
• Complex 9.1
• Tactical Fleet Simulator 2.9.1 (TrailFix already included)
• Star Trek: Continuum (TrailFix already included)

• With the remastered launcher (see screenshot above).
• Shortcut with local mods :

Thanks to the Howeworld modding community for the online ressources and discussions that helped to figure this out.

There is actually only a single override file :

I couldn’t get a working .ROT extractor to see what’s wrong with the base file and couldn’t clearly compare it either.
There is HEX differences but a .ROT Viewer doesn’t show any visible difference that could explain the issue.

Hopefully Gearbox will fix this in a future patch, meanwhile we can now enjoy again HW2 Classic mods with working trails.
