Good Order & Discipline
Like Cathay, all Order factions’ melee units receive formation attack. Missile units are exempt from this, to remain in line with Cathay’s design. An exception to this rule exists for some hybrid units. Units that have loose formations, or are otherwise considered undisciplined, do not receive formation attack.
In general, non-Order factions do not have any units that receive formation attack. However, there are some non-Order factions that receive formation attack as though they were an Order faction (like Dark Elves), and some non-Order factions that receive it for certain units (like Black Orcs for Greenskins).
It can be assumed that if a unit receives formation attack, so too does any variant (shielded, great weapons, RoR, etc.) with some exceptions.

After CA introduced formation attack into Warhammer 3 with Cathay, I had assumed that all Order factions would receive it when the game launched. To my surprise, it remained and still remains exclusive to Cathay. I found this rather odd seeing as Cathay isn’t the only faction in the Warhammer world to drill its soldiers. In fact, discipline in battle is what sets the forces of Order apart from the rest of the world and in no small part gives them an upper hand when facing the horrors that the likes of Chaos can throw at them.
When it comes to who should or shouldn’t receive formation attack, I’m open to suggestions. My philosophy was that no berserker-like units (typically those with frenzy), units with loose formations, or units comprised of unprofessional soldiers should receive formation attack. Lore also drove my decisions as well. For example, Black Orcs being more disciplined than other Orcs and even looking down upon them because of it, or Nehekharan undead being raised with greater magic than your typical Vampiric undead and so maintain the discipline they fought with in life.
There should be no issues with this mod since all it does is add the formation attack attribute to the above units.
