More Infantry

Historically accurate deployment of weapons for the AI in Conquest based on real production numbers and availablity.

As a result the AI is much more likely to deploy infantry and smaller weapons and much less likely to deploy tanks and heavy artillery.

The math for each nation (3.5 is the baseline for a squad)

Great Britain:

HMGs (Vickers): The British pooled these into one 36-gun machine gun battalion. (324 squads / 36 guns = 9 squads per HMG). Priority = 3.5 / 9 = 0.39

Medium Mortars (3-inch): 54 per division. (324 / 54 = 6 squads per mortar). Priority = 3.5 / 6 = 0.58

AT Guns (6-pounder): ~102 per division. (324 / 102 = 3.17 squads per gun). Priority = 3.5 / 3.17 = 1.10

AT Guns (17-pounder): ~30 per division. (324 / 30 = 10.8 squads per gun). Priority = 3.5 / 10.8 = 0.32

Artillery (25-pounder): 72 per division. (324 / 72 = 4.5 squads per gun). Priority = 3.5 / 4.5 = 0.78

Universal Carriers: ~150 per division. (324 / 150 = 2.16 squads per carrier). Priority = 3.5 / 2.16 = 1.62

Finland:

HMGs (Maxims): The Finns had excellent machine gun density, keeping about 72 heavy MGs per division. (243 / 72 = 3.37 squads per HMG). Priority = 1.04

Medium Mortars (81mm): Roughly 36 per division. (243 / 36 = 6.75 squads per mortar). Priority = 0.52

Anti-Tank Guns: Finland had a severe anti-tank deficit, fielding only about 36 dedicated AT guns per division (mostly 37mm Bofors and captured 45mm guns). (243 / 36 = 6.75 squads per gun). Priority = 0.52

Artillery: Highly effective but average in tube numbers (~48 per division). (243 / 48 = 5.06 squads). Priority = 0.69

Tanks: The entire Finnish military possessed only one Armored Division, consisting mostly of obsolete captured Soviet T-26s and a small batch of German StuG IIIs. Therefore, any armor values must be exceptionally low (nearly non-existent) to reflect their extreme rarity across the front line. Total Armor Priority = ~0.15

Germany:

HMGs (MG34 / MG42): The Germans heavily concentrated their tripod-mounted MGs. A standard division had about 72. (162 squads / 72 HMGs = 2.25 squads per HMG). Priority = 1.55

Medium/Heavy Mortars (8cm / 12cm): The Germans phased out light 5cm mortars and relied entirely on an average of 54 medium/heavy tubes per division. (162 / 54 = 3 squads per mortar). Priority = 1.17

Anti-Tank Guns (Pak 38 / Pak 40): Highly integrated to survive Allied armor. Roughly 45 guns per division. (162 / 45 = 3.6 squads per AT gun). Priority = 0.97

Anti-Aircraft Guns (Flak 38 / Flak 36): With the Allies controlling the skies, German divisions needed their own organic AA, fielding about 25 guns per division. (162 / 25 = 6.48 squads per AA gun). Priority = 0.54

Artillery: Maintained standard division strength with roughly 48 heavy howitzers. (162 / 48 = 3.37 squads per gun). Priority = 1.03

USSR:

HMGs (Maxims / SG-43 / DShK): A standard Rifle Division had ~90 heavy machine guns. (243 squads / 90 HMGs = 2.7 squads per HMG). Priority = 1.30

Mortars (82mm / 120mm): The Soviets were the undisputed kings of mortars, using them to replace expensive field artillery. (243 / 99 = 2.45 squads per mortar). Priority = 1.43

Anti-Tank Guns (45mm / 76mm ZiS-3): (~54 per division organically). Priority = 0.78

Artillery: Division-level organic artillery was kept light, mostly 76mm and 122mm guns. Priority = 0.70

USA:

Mortars (60mm, 81mm, 4.2-inch): Highly ubiquitous. Every rifle company had 60mm mortars, and every battalion had 81mm mortars. Priority = ~1.94

HMGs (.30 cal / .50 cal): Heavy weapons companies relied on the water-cooled M1917, while the M2 .50 cal was mounted on nearly every vehicle in the motor pool. Priority = ~1.30

Anti-Tank Guns (57mm / 3-inch): The 57mm was the towed standard for the infantry, supported heavily by independent Tank Destroyer battalions (both towed and self-propelled). Priority = ~0.82

Artillery: The U.S. had the most responsive and dense artillery network of the war. Priority = ~0.70
