British Rail Class 370 APT-P
I am proud to present the 18th installment of the NIMBY RAILS advent calendar.
Sleek silver bullet tilting through the snow,
Electric APT-P where winter winds blow.
Overhead wires hum their power down,
Advanced Passenger Train from north to town.
Through Pennine passes draped in Christmas white,
Articulated carriages chase the light.
Here is probably one of my favourite trains ever, the glorious Britsh Rail Class 370 – Advanced Passenger Train Prototype (Or APT P)

APT-R 12 Car formation Featuring two Driving Van Trailors and a motor car at one end
APT-Q 8 Car formation featuring a Driving Van Trailor and motor car at one end, and a Driving Trailor Standard at the other
APT-S 11 Car formation featuring a Driving Motor at one end, and a Driving Van Trailor at the other
APT-T 12 Car formation featuring an APT-S But with an extra motor car at the driving motor end
APT-U 12 Car formation featuring two Driving Motors and 10 Non-Articulated Coaches
