Q: Compatible with RimTalk?
A: Yes, and it can one-way read the common knowledge base and RimTalk memories (RPG dialogue only) via Expand Memory. No additional setup required; enabled automatically. Sending memories to RimTalk requires subscribing to the Expand Memory Beta version.
Q: Performance impact?
A: Negligible. AI calls are lightweight and infrequent.
Q: Token usage?
A: ~2,000-6,000 tokens per conversation. Only charged when YOU send messages.
Q: Can I add/remove mid-save?
A: Yes, fully safe to add or remove from existing colonies.
Q: Compatible with CE (Combat Extended)?
A: Yes—RimChat doesn’t touch combat mechanics.
Q: Compatible with other diplomacy mods?
A: Partially. Other mods’ options won’t trigger through AI chat, but you can disable comms console override to access both.
Q: Why can’t I trigger some actions?
A: Higher faction goodwill unlocks more interaction options. Build trust first!
Q: Direct item trading with AI?
A: Yes, try airdrop trade request.
问:⚠️Why AI raid doesn’t work?
答:Mod faction attacks may have errors because no groups have been set up. You can add groups in my Mod:Faction Editor
Q: Works with Storyteller mods?
A: Yes. RimChat events complement (don’t replace) your Storyteller.
Q: Works with any other mods?
A: RimChat is designed to be compatible with most other mods. No serious incompatible mod been found so far.
