Poison Arrow Rebalance
This simple mod aims to rebalance the power of Slavic Archers, in particular pertaining their unique, exclusive use of Poison Arrows. To achieve it, this mod changes them as follows:
1> Divide The Poison Arrows into Slow Acting Poison and Quick Lethal Poison
Slavic Archers and Hunters uses Slow-Acting Poison that even if it won’t kill the enemy directly, The poison will:
– Tire the enemy
– Reduce the Target’s melee attack, defense, shield missile block chance, and speed by 20%
And it lasts a long time, 90 second to be exact – a far cry from the original 10 second effect.
Antean Poison Archer and Hunters uses Quick-Acting Lethal Poison, that have similar killing effect as the original Poison Arrows, with added debuffs.
2> Reduce the Lethality of Quick Lethal Poison
The Heavy Poison used by Antean Poison Archers and Hunters are a little reduced in poisoning death chances, and also with shorter action time of 6 seconds from the original 10 seconds.
3> Slavic Archers can Use Light, Heavy, and Flaming Arrows.
Even though now Slavic Archers and Hunter’s Poison Arrows won’t kill, it doesn’t mean its no longer powerful. With complete arrow set, Slavic Archers can shower the enemy with Poison Arrows – even if the poison did not kill, the regular arrows will, as the poisoned enemy lose their strength to even raise their shields. This also means that they can switch arrows to burn towers, or safer option if the situation risks poisoning friendly troops.
4> Poison Arrow inflict Normal, Blockable Damage.
Added 42 normal damage bonus against Infantry, 36 against Cavalry, and 18 against Elephants
Reload Time reduced to 40 seconds from vanilla 60.
This way, Armours and Shield can protect against lethal hits from poison arrows, even though small nicks can still give nonlethal doses of poison that still weakens. This also means a portion of poison arrow kills counts as kills for the archers, contibuting to their experience.
