has a spectator feature and should be compatible with (most) mods that turn your death ragdoll into a serveside one
it’s also compatible with z-city and beatrun
you will not be able to see the pause menu while dead because the effects pretty much override everything else. another thing, try to avoid using other addons that add effects after death, some of them can conflict with this one
convars:
deatheffect_spectator (1 by default, enables or disables the spectator feature. global convar)
deatheffect_compat (0 by default, enabling this will make the game go back to default behaviour before the options show up. enable if you’re playing z-city or any other gamemode with custom behaviour after death. global convar)
deatheffect_options_delay (4 by default, how long to wait for the spectate/respawn options to show up. global convar)
deatheffect_cam_max_dist (the maximum camera follow distance in the second stage. 150 by default)
deatheffect_cam_min_dist (the minimum camera follow distance in the second stage. 60 by default)
deatheffect_alt_sound (toggles between the default and a quieter death sound. 0 by default)
