Overview

There are currently four primary monument mods for Anbennar (three by Sorge_, and one by Kunimaster1337), and I personally think they’re really well made. However, I always feel bad about using them, since the sheer amount of buffs they give make you overpowered far too quickly.

This submod (of a submod) is something I made for personal use to try and fix this issue, by nerfing most of the monuments to a level where things don’t get out of control if you have more than a few monuments in your empire.

These nerfs are done a few ways:

  • Limiting who can gain access to them, like having to be of the correct culture and not just accepting the local culture (this is most of the changes in the cannor mod, since it’s otherwise decently balanced)
  • Nerfing the modifiers directly (the Sarhal mod was affected by this the most, since the modifiers there are pretty crazy)
  • Adding dev and building requirements to upgrade monuments (or hold level requirements, like with the dwarven mod)
Other

The mod requires you to use all four mods, otherwise there will be issues.

Also, while the mod tries to keep monuments the same as they are in the original (just nerfed), a couple of monuments have been changed to make more sense in my eyes (like magic monuments having magic research speed instead of all power cost). This might be outside the scope of the mod, but I felt the changes were for the better.

If you find any issues with the mod, please notify me, and I’ll try to fix it as quickly as possible. Also, if you have any balance-suggestions, I’d like to hear them.
