FieldCamp
First of all, I’d like to say that this is my first mod and that I intend to keep improving it. I’ll be happy to hear any and all feedback, good or bad. I hope you enjoy the content! 😀
Special thanks to my brother @Ser_Val for the awesome mod image he cropped.

Set up a camp anywhere on the campaign map and make the most of the time between battles. Field Camp adds a camp icon to the map and opens a menu whose background changes depending on your culture and the terrain around you.
With the camp set up, your men await your orders.
Let your soldiers gain experience passively while you hold your position. Your Leadership skill determines how much they learn, and in return you earn Leadership experience based on the tier and number of healthy soldiers under your command. But training isn’t free: your men eat more while they drill, and each session can go well or badly. You need at least a couple of soldiers on their feet, and you can’t train at sea.
Higher Leadership means more experience for your troops, more Leadership experience for you, and a better chance of a successful session.
Troop XP per hour = 3 + round(0.4 × √Leadership)
Player Leadership XP per hour = round(0.05 × Σ contribution)
where, for each troop that can still be upgraded: contribution += healthy_soldiers × tier
Success chance = 0.65 + (Leadership × 0.01) − (troops × 0.01)
minimum 65%
Send your men out to find food in the surrounding area. What they bring back depends on the terrain you camp in —fish on the coast, game in the forests, grain on the plains, dates in the desert and more—, along with the number of soldiers and your Scouting skill. If you strip an area bare, it will be depleted for a while, so you’ll have to move on and let it recover.
Higher Scouting and more healthy soldiers mean more food per gather. The chance of finding something depends on the terrain.
Food amount = round(0.12 × √(healthy_soldiers × Scouting))
always at least 1, with a maximum of 4 per gather
A foraging attempt is made every 4 hours. After an area is stripped bare,
that spot won’t yield food again for about 2 days while it recovers.
Hide your party and vanish from the map, slipping past the enemies prowling nearby. Success depends on your Tactics and your Roguery; if you pull it off, you’ll stay hidden until you break camp. If you fail, you’ll have to wait a while before trying again.
The higher your Tactics and Roguery, the better your chances of sneaking off unseen.
Hide chance = 0.40 + (Tactics × 0.002) + (Roguery × 0.002)
with a maximum of 90%
If an attempt fails, you’ll have to wait a few hours before trying again.
Each activity is mutually exclusive: your camp does one thing at a time. Your progress and the state of foraged areas are saved with your game.
