TrueSpace Expanded – Stars
Adds additional celestial body types to TrueSpace and RealSpace, including Class O stars, Wolf-Rayet stars, Red Giants, White Dwarfs, Neutron Stars, Black Holes, and Black Dwarfs and Decaying Black Holes that shouldn’t yet exist (but would fit nicely within Frackin’ Universe, or Project Ancient Cosmos, since this mod had also added in new planet spawn pools for those "impossible-to-exist" star systems meant specifically for any custom planets with a cosmic horror theme to them, or really, any theme that’s deemed strange, even a "magical" theme could also fit).
Needless to say, although this mod doesn’t necessitate clearing out your universe folder (you’ll simply have to explore new areas of space to see the results), it IS considered UNINSTALL UNFRIENDLY, meaning it’ll likely cause your game to crash if the mod is uninstalled until you clear out your (contaminated) universe folder. (As such, PLEASE make a backup of your universe before installing and running this mod for the 1st time… just in case?)
Required Mods:
– Only one of the following:
— TrueSpace
— Optionally: RealSpace (TrueSpace patch)
— RealSpace (standalone version)
Recommended Mods:
– One star generation mod, such as any of the following, some of which are from collections like this, or this:
— IT’S FULL OF STARS [10x]
— IT’S FULL OF STARS [33x] (what’s used for the screenshots)
— IT’S FULL OF STARS [100x]
— 0.012x Star Multplier
— slightly starrier
— 3x More Stars
— Crazy Stars 10X Edition
— Crazy Stars 5X Edition
Suggested Mods:
– Somewhat Realistic Star Distribution for RealSpace and TrueSpace
Supported Mods:
– Generally speaking, if the other mod in question (whether it’s Frackin’ Universe, Arcana, or Maple32) is supported by TrueSpace, either by TrueSpace alone or via a patch, then chances are that this mod will also support that other mod in question (but isn’t necessarily guaranteed).
– Note that mods that add their own star types to the game on top of TrueSpace may easily conflict with this mod (and might also conflict with TrueSpace itself). Be careful when using this mod with any of those mods that add in their own star types.
— The planets from Frackin’ Universe, Betabound, Extended Story, and the K’Rakoth Mod should all appear within the solar systems generated by not only TrueSpace, but also this mod (though Frackin’ Universe’s star systems are not included within the star generation algorithm).
— A patch exists for TrueSpace that would add compatability with Maple32, which should probably work with this mod as well.
— Elithian Races is supported, since it doesn’t add any new planets or stars. (Instead, it adds a new secondary biome and dungeons to vanilla Starbound’s planets.)
— This mod unfortunately conflicts with Arcana a TINY bit. Although Arcana provides its own patches for TrueSpace compatability (which should, in theory, also work with this mod), it also messes with star generation by forcing the inclusion of its own stars, even if TrueSpace is present. It also doesn’t help that Arcana has a priority of 9000! Thus, I’d recommend installing any of the reprioritization mods made for Arcana that would force it to load much earlier (at least one also exists for TrueSpace btw), so that this mod could work more properly with Arcana.
