Description:
Companion Squad

Recruit a squad of friendly ducks to fight at your side. They follow you in formation, gun down your enemies, patch themselves up with medkits, and scale to your level so the game stays fair on a fresh save — all commanded from a quick radial wheel.

Features
  • Friendly squad — companions are on your team: they never shoot you, and enemies treat them as targets.
  • Follow in formation — they hold a V-wedge behind you and keep pace as you move.
  • Ranged combat with variety — each recruit is pulled from a different scav loadout, so they bring different guns to the fight.
  • Self-healing — companions carry First Aid Kits and use them when hurt.
  • Scales with your level — companion strength (preset tier + HP/damage) ramps with your character level, so they aren’t overpowered on a new save.
  • Command wheel — a quick radial menu to control the whole squad’s behaviour.

Controls
  • G — recruit a companion at your position (capped at 4 by default).
  • Hold Left Alt — open the command wheel; move the mouse to a segment and release to apply.

Command wheel
  • Follow — regroup and hold formation around you.
  • Aggressive — push forward and hunt the nearest enemies.
  • Hold — stay put where you command them, but keep firing at anything in range.
  • Passive — hold fire and stick close (move without starting fights).
  • Dismiss — send the whole squad away.

Notes
  • Companions are recruited inside raids.
  • This is an early release and still being tuned.

Feedback welcome!

This is an early version and your feedback genuinely shapes what comes next. Please drop a comment with:

  • Bugs or crashes (what happened, and roughly when).
  • Balance thoughts — too strong, too weak, scaling feel?
  • Features you’d like — new commands, more squad options, anything.

If you’re enjoying it, a rating or favourite helps a lot and lets more people find the mod. Thanks for trying it out!
