Modular Cruciform Skyscraper
This is a modular building based on unbuilt concepts by Le Corbusier for the unrealised "Plan Voisin": a deranged scheme to flatten most of central Paris and replace it with a set of gigantic cruciform high-rises.
Components are as follows:
Core: residential (1000 workers), town hall, radio station, party HQ.
Spine: residential (1200 workers), hospital, police, secret police, courthouse, orphanage, shopping centre.
Tooth: residential (180 workers), kindergarten, school, clinic, cultural centre, gym.
The component buildings combine into a complete cruciform (1 core, 4 spines, 8 teeth). Completed, this is an enormous building, over 200 metres high. It will dwarf almost every other building, modded or vanilla, in the game.
Prices are balanced with large prefab flats. A complete building with all elements devoted fully to housing will hold 7,240 workers and cost over 12,000 tonnes of building materials. Good luck managing everyone’s food, power and waste disposal needs.
Plan Voisin envisioned 18 of these blocks.
