Every time I play Shogun 2, I feel that some of the default Japanese responses or battlefield shouts are just too quiet. Even after maxing out the voice volume in the settings menu, the problem of low Japanese auxiliary voice volume still can’t be fixed. I recall the arrogant, loud taunts of samurai shouting before battle in Japanese period dramas (Taiga dramas), or the loud, resolute promises when accepting a mission — that sense of immersion would be far more thrilling.
每次玩幕府將軍2時,總覺得有些原設定的日語答覆或戰場叫囂聲音太小,既使在設定選單中我已將語音音量都調整到最大,遺憾的是,還是沒法改善這種日語輔助聲音小的問題。印象中像日本大河劇中日本武士陣前斥聲大罵叫囂的猖狂或是交付接受任務時那種使命必達的大聲允諾豪氣,相信這種代入感一定會更過癮。
To recreate that bold, heroic spirit of the Sengoku period, I have modified nearly 9,000 voice files. I boosted the volume (gain) of each audio file, and to avoid clipping distortion or popping, I also added limiters to prevent distortion. Repeated testing and verification took a considerable amount of time.
為了讓這種日本戰國時代的豪爽再現,我修改了將近9000多個語音文件,讓每個音檔的音量都放大(+增益),且為了避免削波失真出现爆音,還加上限制器避免失真,重複的測試驗證,著實花了不少時間。
After nearly a year of on-and-off effort, it’s finally complete. After trying it out, I felt every second was worth it — exciting, exhilarating. Now I want to share this excitement with you.

- I only play the base game of Shogun 2, so I have not actually tested Rise of the Samurai or Fall of the Samurai. However, since I processed all voice files universally, they should work fine.
