READ THIS SMALL SECTION BELOW BEFORE USING
  • May not work as intended under certain maps. The default West Point Marina map has been used for 99% of this mod’s development and testing, therefore it is recommended to try it first. Feature examples: Power flashes, flashing lights, snow spawning, crumbling, wind, are noteable examples where it may not work
  • Still under a early stage of development. Expect things to break, performance issues and everything is subject to change. Feedback is appreciated
  • The goal of this mod is to simulate realistic tropical/winter cyclones as best as I could. Spawning a cyclone starts off small and slowly grows with time, sometimes the max windspeeds may be little, appearing like nothing is moving. It isn’t like other hurricane based mods where their goal is to directly force objects from one area to another (nothing wrong with that of course!). However a lot of this can be changed in the control panel which by default is enabled by pressing the ‘O’ key

Added, but uncertainty on how it will perform
Low performance wind system
Added, but some performance issues and a bit buggy, especially in multiplayer. Wind speed isn’t accurate to real life
Wind damages static structures (crumble system)
Added, but the optimization part is a bit buggy
Objects not effected by wind indoors
Added, but there is a bug where sometimes some objects may be falsely labeled as outdoors, especially when the object is broken
Dynamic environment changes based off conditions
Added, but during the start/leaving parts aren’t the best
Sprite based precipitation system
Added, but planned to be replaced with particles to save on performance with better accuracy to real hurricane precipitation
Runtime snow buildup
Added, but snow doesn’t automatically melt under high temperatures yet, and snow size has to be big by default to save performance
