Description:

APRIL 25, 2007

Welcome to your new post, Commander! Apologies for the somewhat rushed nature of this briefing, but as you’re no doubt aware, we’ve been fairly busy in the past few weeks.

The recent terrorist attacks along the border between India and Pakistan has resulted in relations between the two nations falling into an all-time low, with our diplomats in Oslo currently attempting to prevent the situation from escalating into a full-blown war. An independent investigation is currently being conducted by our international partners as to what exactly happened, but progress has proven to be remarkably slow–in the meantime, our nation has begun to deploy our armed forces along our side of the border in response to Pakistan’s similar actions, as an additional security measure for our nation.

You are now in command of all naval and air assets currently operating along the coast of the State of Gujarat, and have been tasked with both monitoring PAF and PN units near Karachi and Hyderabad as well as protecting civilian vessels travelling between India and the Middle East. Rules of engagement are strictly as follows: do not fire unless fired upon or authorized by Delhi–we do not need a war to start because of a mistake on our end!

1. Patrol the Indian coastline and protect civilian ships
2. Monitor Pakistani forces on the other side of the border
