[DrGBase] Toy Zombies: The Boss SNPC
Jack Francis Müller, the owner of AniMall’s Shopping and the game’s final boss. This is one of the NPCs that was most difficult for me to create. The movement changes, the no-clipping (and making it look good) made this Nextbot something I’m not used to doing here in gmod. But I really wanted to port it, so you can play with this amazing character 😀

It’s one of the most complex NPCs I’ve made (probably one of the most difficult so far) because I had to change the behavior of a DrGBase and had to completely re-study the base. With this, I was able to see how to change the type of movement and how the Nextbot’s movement behaves. It wasn’t an easy task, but it was very satisfying to see an NPC with true flying movement, and not using SetVelocity() functions to make the NPC break the rules of gravity. Additionally, one more detail is that if you’re possessing a DrGBase and it gets stuck in the void, you won’t be able to see where it’s falling because the game doesn’t detect the position of entities that aren’t being rendered (a client issue). I was able to fix this bug because when The Boss is in the void, it sends the possessing client information about its location in the server. It’s not as spectacular in multiplayer, but it gives you an idea of where the character is. However, I still feel I can improve this system a bit more in the future, either for optimization or ease of use.

–Pattern System:
It has 4 patterns (Both can be turned on or off, but for now they are not available for Posses Mode):
Pattern 1 (Chase)
-In this state, The Boss only chases you by passing through walls.
Pattern 2 (Dash)
-The Boss will start dashing himself at high speed from only 3 directions (forward, right, and left).
Pattern 3 (Panic Attack) (to players only)
-When he is in this state, he will give you a panic attack that you must calm by clicking multiple times (or pressing the primary attack button).
Pattern 4 (Flash his face) (to players only)
-In this state you must point the flashlight at his head to prevent him from quickly dashing at you.
–Boss theme:
It will only sound if The Boss has you marked or is chasing you; you can also adjust the volume for convenience.
–Advanced Flying/No clipping movement system:
Unlike other NPCs I’ve made, or some DrGBase characters that use other tricks to make the nextbot fly, The Boss flies naturally. The character is set up to rotate in any direction and pass through walls, so a navmesh isn’t strictly necessary for this NPC, although it’s still needed for some basic functions of any Toy Zombie. Additionally, you can notice that the noclip is intentional since I added a visual effect to show when and where it will pass through a wall (it’s a red light that surrounds the body, you’ll see it from time to time)
–Melee Combo System:
When he faces a powerful enemy (or the player is controlling him), he can attack the enemy with a precise combo that stuns them for as long as possible, since he can make excellent use of his flight ability to corner any character. Additionally, each time a combo ends, the attack speed increases (with a maximum limit, obviously).
–Stun by Jumpscare System:
There are certain NPCs that only stun the boss during the jumpscare; they don’t kill him outright. (Resistance to jumpscares, but not to executions that turn him into a ragdoll)

–Springtrap (DBD version) and with some specific settings; (Health: 15000) (Damage: 1500) (Grab Kill: Disabled) (Grab Damage: 2000) (Axe Damage: 1500) (Insta Kill: Disabled)
-Toy Zombies, obviously, you must use the Faction Tool to do this fight.

Note (For Survival Experience): For a better survival experience with these NPCs please set the SightDistance of DrGBase to 2500 and disable Omniscience.
