Description:
"The Tribute We Pay, Shall be Prisons and Graves."

Well lads, it’s that time of the year isn’t it? The 250th anniversary of the United States – quite the occasion. And whilst my state is currently burning and the Aspen Acres fire is eerily close, I still have a desire to release this pack for all to enjoy on this special anniversary.
Now, of course this skin pack includes your standard gathering of Continental and British troops – as one would typically see – it also includes other factions who participated in some regard to the American Revolution. Now, I had a time limit and so wasn’t able to capture every unit I would have liked to, you still have a wide selection to enjoy. You get skins to represent France, Spain, and Hesse-Kassel!
Now, I absolutely disdain making multiskin scripts, and so if you truly desire to have these varied, I would very much recommend using Jello’s fantastic Universal Multiskin

Skins

All skins have the prefix of ‘AWoI’ and the acronym of the faction so you can easily find ’em.

  • FR. Gâtinais Regiment
    • The regiment was established in 1776 and participated in various battles during the American Revolution. Finally, an 18th century French soldier!
  • G.B. 54th Foot
    • Based on the British 54th Regiment of Foot, boasting popinjay green facings. The skin includes authentic regimental lace.
  • G.B. 64th Foot
    • Representing the 64th Regiment of Foot, featuring black facings. Including accurate regimental lace.
  • H.-K. Regiment von Ditfurth
    • A Hessian soldier, specifically from Hesse-Kassel which sent the most units to the colonies. He sports a very fine mitre cap and an extra large canteen that would be shared amongst several people. His uniform may be a tad outdated by the ’80s but still poses a striking figure.
  • SP. Luisiana Regiment
    • Spain was an active participant during the Revolutionary War, albeit not entirely for the support of the US itself. This unit represents the Fixed Louisiana Regiment, which under ideal circumstances would feature blue underclothes, such as waistcoats. However, in reality, it was not near as commonplace.
  • U.S. 1st Delaware
    • A unique soldier which, in most appearances, looks like a standard Continental soldier – however his mitre cap sets him apart. Initially referred to as Haslet’s Regiment, these soldiers had mitre caps with the saying ‘Liberty and Independence,’ although these caps would not have lasted and would switch to tricorns with yellow tape later on.
  • U.S. 1st New York
    • A standard regiment featuring buff facings, although I didn’t depict the buff underclothes. There’s not much to say on the soldier himself – he was a last-minute addition to have a more generic unit for the Americans.
  • U.S. Green Mountain Boys
    • Seth Warner’s troops are more colloquially known as the Green Mountain Boys, or the Green Mountaineers. Their facings are depicted as red, although I have seen depictions of the coat lapels being green. I chose to make them red myself.
