Improved Atmospheric Rendering
This is a shader mod that improves atmospheric rendering. For now the main thing is that the atmosphere is properly culled on the night side allowing for dark nights even when using SE’s normal Auto Exposure! There will be more improvements over time.
Delete cache for mod to function after installing. By default the cache is located here:
%LOCALAPPDATA%CosmographicSpaceEngine
Alternatively In the main-user.cfg set the following line to True.
IgnoreShaderBinary true // disable binary shader cache
Note: This mod is compatible with all shader mods and presumably, atmospheric presets.
-Atmosphere is properly culled on the night side of planets while taking into account the atmospheres height relative to a planet.
-SE’s default auto-exposure can now properly work with the atmosphere shader without blowing up as a result.
