The El Reno tornado occurred on May 31, 2013, southwest of El Reno, Oklahoma, USA. Eight people died, all in cars. Among the victims were three tornado researchers from the TWISTEX team: team leader and engineer Tim Samaras, his son, cameraman Paul Samaras, and meteorologist Carl Young.
