"Strange rumors are circulating in Grand Chien, about a man, who is on more than one international wanted list!
It is said he’s a "great inventor", last known location, a barn somewhere in Arulco. His exact current whereabout are unknown, whispers suggest that he is keeping a low profile in Grand Chien.
The reason why different agencies look for him is also shrouded in mystery, as is the allegiance of this man. Is it about a new invention? A doomsday machine of some sort? Or is it just another elaborate Government Scheme?"

This is not your typical Merc Mod, it is more of a Micro-DLC to the base game.
You not only get to hire an iconic Mercenary from Jagged Alliance 2, but you also hire the first "artificial Mercenary" for Jagged Alliance 3!!!
To acquire both Mercs, you need to follow a sequence of events, with its own short story line, starting in Sector C13.
We added two entirely new custom sectors, a few Quests and Dialogues. As well as entirely new mechanics which developed around having an "artificial Mercenary", from its own Battery Mechanic to a custom SectorOperation for repairs.
Though this unit is a highly sophisticated piece of technology, it is not fully autonomous and needs to be controlled by its inventor.
For this we established a new "Remote Control" Mechanic, intertwining inventor and machine.

- New Mercenary: MAARS Modular Advanced Armed Robotic System
- The MAARS has a custom Robot Model!
- Comes with a Unique Weapon System which can be upgraded via Quests
- Comes with a Custom System, allowing the Robot to learn new Tricks
- New Mercenary: Dr. Nathaniel "Madlab" Kairns
- Comes with his Unique Rocket Launcher and a custom Cattle Prod
- Added a short Story Line to acquire both Madlab and his Robot Sheila, which are fully voiced and so are the dialogues in that quest-chain
- Two new Sectors: B14 and B14 Underground
- Several new Mechanics: from a Remote Control, to a Battery System, Repair Robot Sector Operation
- An array of new Inventory Items for both units
- There are changes to sectors: L9, K11, C13, C11 (Quest related)

While creating this mod we faced new challenges every step of the way. For example an artificial unit does not bleed or gets tired, but needs to be repaired and needs energy, thus we came up with its own Battery Mechanic and Sector Operation.
The creation of this mod was quite challenging but also a lot of fun, since we needed to test out the limits of the editor and in some areas we even exceeded what was deemed possible.
We tried to stay as true as possbile to the Jagged Alliance 2 original, from the model to the voices and the lore, his stats are modified to fit the new JA3 Environment.

- To start the Quest Chain go to C13 and find the Boat South on the Map
- Weapon Changes on the Robot: can be unlocked via Researching Blueprints by Madlab, in a Sector with a Workshop. Upon reading the Blueprints you will receive a quest with further instructions
- You need to research them Both! And then assemble the parts you gathered(Quest). You will receive a "Weapon Crate" allowing you to switch the weapons on the Robot via a free Combine
- This way you can acquire a Flamethrower and Shotgun for the Robot
- Important: those new weapons can be modified, but the modifications will be lost when you switch them out!
- The Robot will not get additional Perks the usual way. However they can be learned via the Robots Interface Item, each level you can unlock and additional Perk in the Interface by implementing a chipset(On Use Inventory Item)
- Each combat action by the Robot will drain its battery, while each point of AP equals one percent of the battery
- Once you run out, you can use the Reserve Battery one time! to refill it. Both the Robot and the Reserve Batterywill recharge on a New Day
