Immersive Decrees
This mod seeks to flesh out the decree mechanic and make it more immersive by introducing a variety of new decrees with nuanced impacts. I’ve also tried to tie it more closely to game mechanics such as laws, institutions, interest group clout, the country’s ruler, state radicals/loyalists and buildings. Generally decrees have more varied but weaker effects, but cost less authority. There are some powerful decrees, but they have stricter requirements.
Most decrees are not available at any one time, especially at the beginning when many are locked behind unresearched techs. As your nation completes research and changes its laws, different decrees will become available. If your nation does not have the prerequisite laws, the decree will not show up at all. If it does show, but is greyed out, you can hover over it to see the requirements to enact.
