Description:

GWh‑scale Electrochemical Energy Storage Plant

This mod includes two buildings: the ‘Energy Storage Plant (Input)’ and the ‘Energy Storage Plant (Battery Unit)’. They must be built adjacent to each other and connected by on‑site roads to function properly. Each input unit can connect to up to five battery units. The entire system can store up to 4,000 MWh of electrical energy in-game, with a maximum charge/discharge power of 66.67 kW and a round‑trip efficiency of 92%.

[Gameplay Recommendations]

1. Please refer to the topological grid diagram I have provided, and reasonably set up priority‑adjustable high‑voltage switching stations at both the input and output ends of the energy storage plant. This will maximize the utilization of green energy and reduce the consumption of fossil and nuclear fuels. : )

2. I have created a dedicated tech tree for this mod. Please follow the instructions in the document: SovietRepublicmedia_sovietworkshop_wip3747882603Tech_TreeReadme.md (this is not mandatory, but it significantly enhances the gameplay experience).

3. Connecting either of the two buildings from this mod to other structures via on‑site roads may affect game balance and playability. I do not recommend doing so.

Real‑World Prototype:
This mod is based on the ‘Huadian Guyuan Energy Storage Plant’, located deep in the desert of Xinjiang, China. It is a lithium‑iron‑phosphate (LFP) battery‑based storage facility designed to support the grid integration of surrounding wind and solar power clusters. Its installed capacity is 4,000 MWh, with a maximum discharge power of 1,000 MW – enough to power 2 million households for 24 hours. Together with another storage plant of the same scale in Inner Mongolia, it is among the world’s largest single‑site electrochemical energy storage stations.
