Bigger Vanilla Homes 2x
A moderate vanilla-friendly housing balance mod for Songs of Syx V71.
This is a lower-capacity 2x version of Bigger Vanilla Homes. It keeps the vanilla housing system, visuals, and building style, but doubles the practical capacity of the vanilla home types instead of using the stronger 5x values from the main version.
New capacities:
– Apartment: 6 / 8 / 10 residents
– House: 10 / 14 / 18 residents
– Longhouse: 20 / 28 / 36 residents
The three values represent the base home and its upgrade levels.
The goal is to make towns and cities easier to house without making housing almost disappear as a planning concern.
Technical note:
In Songs of Syx V71, vanilla housing capacity is partly handled through Java code, so this mod uses a small Java housing patch instead of only changing config files.
Compatibility note:
Do not use together with the regular Bigger Vanilla Homes mod, More Houses, More Dense Houses, or other mods that patch vanilla housing / HomeContructor / HomeHoverer / HomeInstance.
No new buildings are added.
No new resources are required.
Vanilla visuals are used.
