💾 Save Your Decks, You Gremlin
Game updates may delete, hide, break, or spiritually injure your decks, because peace was never an option.
- Use the in-game import/export feature when your deck is below 100 activation points
- After updates, older compatible builds may still work through WARNO’s Steam Properties -> Betas
- If you trust Steam Workshop to protect your decks, that is a bold lifestyle choice
🛠️ Yuri’s WARNO Toolkit: Deck Necromancy Department
- Use Yuri’s WARNO Toolkit[github.com] for deck editing, profile backups, mod installs, and emergency deck archaeology
- VERY IMPORTANT: YWT can recover decks from previous WARNO versions and other mods, including battlegroups the game hides like they witnessed a crime
- If the deck still exists in your WARNO profile, YWT can drag it back into the light instead of making you rebuild your cursed 3 AM masterpiece from memory
- Edit battlegroups directly: change units, veterancy, transports, and names; delete or duplicate decks; make coalition copies; and commit other legal-looking crimes
- Snapshot and restore your profile, because "I clicked randomly and now everything is on fire" is not a backup strategy
- Install YSM-family mods from its mod catalog, making it a full-service bad-decision launcher
- YWT backs up and verifies changes before writing, giving your profile one responsible guardian angel before the nonsense begins
- Get it here: Latest Release[github.com]
💡 Good To Know
- Activate the mod in WARNO’s Mod Center after subscribing
- Use only the units you need if you want performance to remain a real concept
- Works best for Skirmish and Multiplayer sandbox play
- Expect conflicts with most gameplay and UI mods, because YSM changes basically everything it can reach
- Map mods are usually fine, because even YSM occasionally respects property boundaries
🛠️ Built With YMB, Because Suffering Is Optional
YSM is built with Yokaiste’s Mod Builder (YMB)[github.com], so it was not assembled by hand inside live WARNO files like a sleep-deprived disaster wizard.
- YMB builds source mods with targeted patches, replacement files, scripts, validation, build review, sync, and recovery
- If updates keep drop-kicking your WARNO mod into the sun, YMB is the toolchain behind this nonsense
- It makes large mods more update-resilient instead of making every patch day unpaid emotional damage
- YSM is source-available, so modders can inspect how a large YMB-based project is structured
