SCM Tribes of the North — SFO Compatibility Patch
SCM Tribes of the North — SFO Compatibility Patch is a dedicated compatibility patch for SCM: Tribes of the North and SFO: Grimhammer III.
It adapts the full current Tribes of the North roster to SFO campaign progression, unit balance, caps, recruitment, buildings, skills, technologies and effects, while preserving the original mod’s faction identity.
- Makes SCM Tribes of the North compatible with SFO: Grimhammer III.
- Covers all units from the current SCM Tribes of the North roster.
- Updates missing unit records so all units have SFO-compatible main unit and land unit entries.
- Adjusts unit stats, HP, entities, mass, weapons and projectiles for SFO-style battlefield balance.
- Adds explicit SFO handling for monsters, sharks, whalers, harpoons, character weapons and special projectiles.
- Removes duplicate or redundant unit records to reduce database conflicts.
- Adds SFO-style unit cap integration for appropriate elite, monstrous and special units.
- Integrates new Norsca units into relevant SFO unit sets for buildings, skills, technologies and effects.
- Adds Tabletop Caps / TTC support for all relevant non-character units.
- Improves campaign recruitment support for missing units and faction branches.
- Hardens Monster Hunt script compatibility for the new Norsca factions.
- Keeps Wulfrik-specific Plunder / Forge mechanics exclusive to Wulfrik instead of giving them to every new tribe.
- Preserves the original mod’s faction identity while adapting its roster to SFO progression and balance logic.
Required:
Optional:
- Tabletop Caps / TTC, if you want to use the included TTC support.
This patch does not work as a standalone mod.
Recommended load order, from top to bottom:
- SCM Tribes of the North — SFO Compatibility Patch
- SCM: Tribes of the North – 7.0
- SFO: Grimhammer III
- MIXER – Mixu’s Unlocker
In Total War: WARHAMMER III, mods placed higher in the load order have priority over mods below them. Keep this patch above SCM Tribes of the North and SFO so its compatibility changes can properly override the required mods.
This patch is focused on SFO integration: unit stats, health, mass, weapons, projectiles, caps, unit sets, recruitment, buildings, skills, technologies, effects, Monster Hunt compatibility and TTC support.
A new campaign is strongly recommended, especially after major updates to SCM Tribes of the North or SFO. Large faction mods and overhaul patches may not behave cleanly when added or removed mid-campaign.
Do not use multiple SFO compatibility patches for SCM Tribes of the North at the same time unless they are explicitly designed to work together.
Potential conflicts may happen with mods that change the same Norsca units, custom Tribes of the North units, monsters, projectiles, character weapons, buildings, unit sets, effects, skills, technologies, recruitment pools, Monster Hunt scripts, Plunder / Forge mechanics or SFO campaign progression.
The patch is designed for SCM Tribes of the North + SFO. It is not intended for other major overhauls such as Radious and does not guarantee balance with large additional Norsca or Warriors of Chaos reworks.
If you notice missing caps, strange recruitment access, wrong costs, incorrect building effects, broken technologies, Monster Hunt issues, TTC problems, broken tooltips or other SFO-related problems, please report them in the comments.
If possible, include your load order and mention any other mods that affect SCM Tribes of the North, SFO, Norsca, Warriors of Chaos, Monster Hunts, recruitment, unit caps, buildings, technologies, skills or campaign scripts.
If you enjoy the patch and want to support future updates, please consider rating it positively and adding it to your favorites. Thank you for your support!
Thanks to Team SCM for SCM Tribes of the North and to the SFO: Grimhammer III team for SFO.
This is a fan-made compatibility patch.
