TurboBricks
Welcome to my very first mod! As a long-time fan of medieval city builders, I’ve always loved the logistics of growing a settlement, but I decided it was time to finally peek under the hood and build something of my own. Constructive feedback welcomed!
A Farthest Frontier mod that eliminates the mid-game brick bottleneck.
Tired of watching your town’s expansion grind to a halt while you wait for your multiple brickyards to fire? TurboBricks optimizes the internal logic of the Brickyard, effectively quadrupling the production speed of your brick makers.
Cuts the required work units for brick manufacturing to a quarter of the vanilla time, pushing bricks out 400% faster.
Can be safely added to existing settlements. (To see the effects immediately, just make sure your Brickyard is fully staffed and supplied with clay and coal!)
To help manage your colony’s logistics, please keep in mind exactly how this mod alters the game mechanics:
- Production Phase Only: This mod strictly accelerates the actual "firing" time inside the kiln. Bricks will be created 400% faster once a worker is actively crafting.
- Vanilla Recipes Maintained: This does not change the resource recipes. Bricks still require the exact same amount of raw clay and coal as the vanilla game.
- Logistics & Stocking Unaffected: The speed of your haulers and the time it takes to stock the brickyard remain completely unchanged. Because the kiln burns through resources four times faster, you will need an efficient supply chain (like a dedicated stockyard nearby) to keep it running continuously without drying out.
- Villager Behavior: This mod does not modify villager movement speed or execution of other tasks. Workers will still pause production to fulfill their basic needs.
