Décorum
"A game of passive-aggressive co-habitation"
A cooperative home decorating game designed by Charlie and Harry Mackin and Drew Tenenbaum, and published by Floodgate Games.
Decorum is a hidden information game where players each live together in the same house and have their own objectives for how the house should be decorated. The catch is that nobody knows what the other players want. Each player has a list of secret conditions about how the home is decorated that must be fulfilled in order to win the game. This could be about what types of objects are present in each room, or what color the walls should be, or anything else.
During play, each player takes a turn which consists of changing the decorations in the house, whether it be adding new ones, removing old ones, or swapping out objects. Every other player only reacts with approval, neutrality, or disapproval, without giving away any hints about what their own objectives may be. Then the next player gets to make their move, and repeat until either time runs out or everyone has satisfied their individual objectives.
As one consolation, players get to have a "heart-to-heart" or "house meeting" every few turns where they have a chance to share their conditions with another player so they can reach mutual understanding about what the other needs.
