BR Class 890 – Alstom Avelia Stream
The BR Class 890 is the high speed train to be used by Virgin Trains on their proposed channel tunnel rail services. The units are developed by Alstom under the Avelia high speed train platform, coming as an evolution of the New Pendolino trains, though without the ability to tilt. The trains will have a length of 200m with 7 coaches and have a maximum operating speed of 300kph. I’ve chosen the class number 890 as the new trains represent a successor to the class 390 Pendolinos introduced by Virgin Trains on the West Coast Mainline in the early 2000s.
Included in this mod is 7, 2×7 and custom length units up to a length of 14 cars / 400m. The trains come in a range of liveries; the proposed Virgin Trains livery, British Rail Intercity, and a range of colourable livery decal options. All trains come with a range of layout options, with the 6th coach of the standard 7 car train as either a restaurant car, first class car, or standard class car.
