TEMPORARY Compatibility Patch: More Dragon Eggs + Legacy of Valyria (CK3 1.19 / AGOT 0.4.38)

Runs AGOT More Dragon Eggs and Legacy of Valyria (via the LoV – AGOT 0.4.38 Temporary Compatch) together without them eating each other. The problem: the LoV compatch loads after More Dragon Eggs and ships its own copies of MDE’s core files, dragon hatching activity, cradling, hatching events, ruin events, which silently wipes out most MDE features. This patch loads last and merges both sides back together.

Every merged file has been cross-referenced line-by-line against the July 2026 releases of AGOT 0.4.38, MDE (June 19) and the LoV 0.4.38 Temporary Compatch (July 11), this is not the old abandoned MDE-LoV compatch reuploaded. It replaces that old compatch entirely; do not run both.

TEMPORARY by design: once MDE or Legacy of Valyria ships an official compatibility update, unsubscribe from this.

What you get back
  • Hatching ceremonies with the full MDE feature set: multiple-egg hatching, the egg selection UI, dud eggs, and every hatching game rule (guaranteed / impossible / very likely), none of which survive the LoV compatch on its own
  • Hatching activities can be held at Valyrian volcano provinces with proper location scoring, LoV’s volcano additions are merged INTO the MDE versions of the files instead of replacing them
  • MDE’s Summerhall & Spicetown ruin egg discoveries, restored on top of the LoV compatch’s ruin-event override
  • Egg cradling and clutch laying with all MDE game rules (clutch frequency, hatch likelihood, canon-egg rules) plus LoV’s Valyria cradling bonus
  • MDE’s Dragonpit Mover, wired into LoV’s dragonpit detection, volcanoes, Zanpur, Yovesh, the Last Dragon Tower and Procrazion all count as pits, and LoV’s new "choose dragonpit" picker (for rulers with several active pits) is kept intact alongside the mover
  • MDE’s travel events, re-appended on top of the LoV compatch’s travel on_action override

The 0.4.38 Temporary Compatch patches base LoV, it doesn’t replace it, you need both. Disable/unsubscribe the old MDE-LoV compatch before using this.
