Drowned Crew Rework

The boss fights in DD are simple, where each boss has a gimmick that they fight with. My goal is to make the fights have something more to them than just one gimmick & high hp, so that the bosses take more strategy to beat. They will be slightly more difficult to beat, but yield better rewards, including new trophy trinkets dropped by the apprentice and veteran versions of the boss.
Drowned Crew rotates between each member for each attack. They each have their own unique skills to use, including slightly altered versions of the original skills.
Your whole party will have horror as long as someone is anchored, however, the Crew will take increased damage during this time.
Crew’s HP has been adjusted to accomodate the missing prot and the added damage received debuff.
Damage wasn’t really an issue before in this fight, but that has been changed. Carelesness will be punished!
- The Drowned Crew has 4 different modes.
- 3 of the modes are dedicated to the characters present in it’s animations
- Each skill changes Crew’s mode in the following order
Captain -> Drunkard -> Gaffer Hook - Captain & Gaffer Hook both have 3 different skills to use
- Drunkard uses a stress/debuff attack with varying debuffs
- Drowned Crew will gain a bonus move once he drops below 66% HP
- Below 33% HP, Drowned Crew will swap into the 4th mode, in which it will choose one of 3 powerful skills to use
- Drowned Crew no longer gains 50% PROT when someone is anchored, instead he will take 33% more damage
- Drowned Crew’s max HP has been increased by 100% and move resistance is now 300%
- Heal per action while someone is anchored has been lowered from 2.5% to 1%, but whenever the Crew is hit, it gains +50% Healing Received until it’s next action
Captain’s Skills
Mutiny
- Deals 3-4/4-6/6-9 damage
- -33% DMG | -5% CRT Chance debuff
- -15% Virtue chance debuff
- Targets heroes with lots of stress
Terrifying Howl
- Targets 2 heroes
- Deals 2-3/3-5/5-8 damage
- 60/80/100% chance to stun
- -10% Virtue chance debuff
- Targets heroes with low stun resistance
Revolt!
- Targets all heroes
- Deals 1-2/2-4/4-7 damage
- +20% Stress dmg received | -8/10/12 DODGE if Stress below 65
- +10% Stress dmg received | -4/6/8 DODGE if Stress above 65
- -5% Virtue chance debuff
Drunkard’s Skills
Drink with the Dead
- Deals 1-6/2-7/3-8 damage
- 10 Stress
- Varying Stress buff -10/15/20 Stress damage received
Varying Buffs & Debuffs:
- -15/20/25 DODGE | +5/7/10 ACC
- -15/20/25 ACC | +5/7/10 DODGE
- -17% Deathblow Resistance | Buff Crew: +33% damage | +5/10/15 ACC
- -2/3/4 SPD | 100/120/140% Shuffle over time for 2 turns
- -100% Move Resistance | +15% Stress damage received
Gaffer Hook’s Skills
Boarding Clutch
- 4-8/5-11/8-18 damage
- 2/6/7% CRT chance
- 100/120/140% chance to bleed for 2/3/4 damage
- 100/120/140% chance to blight for 1/2/3 damage
Violent Hook
- 5-9/6-12/9-19 damage
- 2/6/7% CRT chance
- Deals +25% DMG to ranks 1 and 4
- Buffs Crew’s ACC by 10/15/20 and SPD by 2/4/6 on miss
Puncturing Plunge
- 5-11/6-14/10-20 damage
- 6/12/13% CRT chance
- Ignores Protection
- Clears Guard and has +12% CRT chance vs Guarded
- 100/120/140% chance to disable Guarding for 2 turns
2 Skills usable in any mode
Call of Despair
- 4-8/5-11/8-18 damage
- 2/6/7% CRT chance
- Removes initiative (combat action)
- 2 uses, can only be used on the first action in a turn
- Can only be used after the 4th action in the fight
Smack
- 4-10/5-13/8-20 damage
- 6/12/13% CRT chance
- Guaranteed knockback 3
- 4 uses per fight
- Only usable on stunned heroes
Low HP Mode
When the Drowned Crew drops below 33% HP, he will be able to use one of the following skills and continue his turn after
Final Mutiny
- Targets everyone
- 3-4/4-6/6-9 damage
- 100/120/140% chance to debuff
- -33% DMG | -5% CRT chance | -15% virtue chance
Rum of the Departed
- Targets ~23 with a 50/60/70% chance for an extra target
- 1-6/2-7/3-8 damage
- 15 Stress
- 120/140/160% chance to debuff
- -6/10/12 ACC & DODGE | -2/3/4 SPD | -25% Move Resistance | -25% Stress damage received
Boarding Cleave
- Targets ~234
- 4-8/5-11/8-18 damage
- 2/6/7% CRT chance
- 100/120/140% chance to bleed for 2/3/4 damage
- 100/120/140% chance to blight for 1/2/3 damage
Drowned Anchorman
- -15% Debuff Resistance aura
- -200% Stun Resistance if Virtued aura
Heave Ho
- Stress per action from 6 to 4
- 3-5/4-8/5-11 damage
- 50% chance to stun
- Buffs ACC by 10/15/20 and SPD by 2/4/6 on miss
While anchored:
- 2 horror per turn on each hero (can’t be removed)
Bottle of Rum
+50% Stress Healing Received
-5% CRTs Received
-30% Move Resistance
-30% Stun Resistance
Crew’s Boarding Hook
+15% Chance to Bleed
+25% Chance to Bleed vs Bleeding
+15% DMG vs Bleeding
