Description:
2050: The Fire Falls

World war became nuclear war. The old great powers are ash.

It is 2050. Roughly a billion people remain. Industry has largely collapsed. There are no true superpowers left — only remote survivors playing king of the hill.

What this world is

  • Survivor enclaves: a few remote regimes barely touched by the strikes, still holding people and tech scraps
  • State regimes: polities that still control entire former states
  • City-states: micro-regimes reborn around hubs — cities, ports, mines, and the like
  • Loose tribes: decentralized filler across the rest of the wastes, waiting to be colonized or absorbed

China, the US, Russia, India, Brazil, Britain, France, Germany, and many other modern states do not exist at start — but they can be formed again.

Nail the old names back onto the map. History did not end. It only restarted under new rules.
