Description:

Simple mod that makes a few flavour changes for AI Zoroastrian names and Persian titles. For instance, AI Zoroastrian Persians will no longer have names like “Ruhollah” which, for some reason, isn’t defined as a Muslim name in vanilla files. Essentially, the mod roots out any remaining Muslim names that AI Zoroastrian Persians may use in the vanilla game. Note: this doesn’t affect random name generation for any children that you have after the first attempt for some reason (but this only applies to the player, not the AI), so you may still get names like “Muhammed” when randomly generating names for your infants.

I’ve also added several new names to the (originally small) Zoroastrian-unique name pool for muh added immersion.

Additionally, I was unsatisfied with Paradox’s handling of Persian titles for females. A female Iranian count is a Sheika, which could somewhat make sense if you’re playing a Muslim Iranian, but if you’re playing a Zoroastrian Iranian, its doubtful that they would use Arabic titles (especially if you’re trying to recreate a new Persian empire). So, this mod replaces Sheika with Banbishn (a broad title that can mean consort to a prince or governor). An Iranian duchess is a Satrapess, an Iranian queen will have the title Shahbanu, and an Iranian empress with Banbishnan Banbishn (“Queen of Queens”). I couldn’t find any Persian equivalent title for baroness, so I made a fictitious adjustment to the male Argbadh and made it “Argbadhess” rather than the vanilla Walia.

That’s it! If you have any suggestions or comments, please leave them below and I’ll make the necessary changes if need be.

Update #1:
A female Iranian duchess is now a Satrapess rather than the old Banbishn.
