Mech Deployment Beacons
CHANGELOG & BUG FIXES:
– Fixed a bug that defaulted the Landing M.D.B. Dish image layers to fullbright.
– Adjusted a small netcode script for better multiplayer compatibility.
Description:
The Mech Deployment Beacons (M.D.B.) are special radar dishes designed to call player mechs directly from their orbit. Acting essentially as a special teleporter, these devices deploys your mech directly from your ship to the current planet beamsite, or change the beamsite directly, regardless of whether or not your ship is orbiting the planet itself. I had the idea to create this mod after finding no tangible solution to call my mech from my various planet outposts without mods I considered too over-powered, or inconvenient. The M.D.B. devices can be crafted from the third tier of the Inventor’s Table.

Developer’s Notes:
After receiving feedback from subscribers and friends alike, I have implemented two versions of the M.D.B. dish. A portable version, which is a lightweight and versatile variant of the device serving the purpose of the original version, and a larger dish, which now adjusts the beamsite of the planet for direct mech deployments. One of the key foundations of this mod is to preserve balance, and in doing so, I have increased recipe requirements for construction, and have added methods to discourage abusing the larger M.D.B. dish. The newest iteration of this device is considerably stronger, as it changes the planet beamsite. I am not responsible for any damage you cause to your world with this mod, as you have been warned and informed extensively on the abilities of this mod.
