Description:

My first mod for starbound.

I’m new to this whole modding shenanigans so please bear with me. This is something we’ve been working on for the past week, to be totally honest we could have waited and upload a more polished version but due to this thing called "real life", i just thought to myself: "Aight, screw it, i’ll just upload the files and call it alpha and then add more stuff to it later".

So, anyways, as for the pack itself, it currently features 14 new weapons with custom sprites and custom animations (immersive recoil and such):

I will never make the melee weapons amiable

  • Lever-action Rifle
  • Ranger Shotgun
  • Snubby Revolver
  • Glok-40 Energy Pistol
  • Survival Knife
  • Loose Cannon
  • Fire and Forget
  • Demon Hanzō
  • Broken Claymore
  • Medic Pistol (disclaimer, due to how enemy types are bugged, this pistol will heal both allies and enemies, so aim before you shoot)
  • HEAV SMG
  • HEAV Shotgun
  • HEAV Compact
  • HEAV Pistol

You can get these from a lvl 2 anvil/treasured trophies. Or if you’re too lazy you can just use /spawnitem and spawn these in:

  • leveractionrifle
  • horselimp
  • snubby
  • glok
  • darkcutter
  • zerecycler
  • moretard
  • nipponsteel
  • duesvultz
  • medic
  • vector
  • knockback
  • knockback_sawnedoff
  • usp

Most of these can be upgraded at the weapon upgrade anvil.

It’s alpha so there might be bugs and stuff, also balancing issues but it’s not a priority right now. Hopefully these are somewhat entertaining to use.

I will add more weapons and polish the pack more with custom particles and custom sounds once i find spare time and when i level up my code-fu :/

I’ll also be taking suggestions as to what weapons will we be adding next, but please keep in mind that I’m a noob at modding so don’t go crazy with the suggestions lol.

Note: Animating for starbound is very tedious and limited(maybe it’s because i’m a lazy asshat whose code-fu is that of a beginner) so that’s why it’s taking forever to add new weapons :/

-Fixed a crash related to having too many homing rockets (seriously guys, tone down on the noob tubing)

-New weapon: Demon Hanzō, forged from Tamahagane (and is also a blantant ripoff of DerpFenrier’s katana animations)

-Tweaked Demon Hanzō to have a slimmer appearance. Added a 4th hit to the end of the Demon Hanzō’s combo.
-New weapon: Broken Claymore, a relic from Terra’s past, this sword has certainly seen better days… Maybe it can be repaired?

-Fixed the survival knife’s 2nd hit being 2-handed
-Further nerfing the survival knife’s damage
-Ranger shotgun firerate changed from 1.2 to 1.0 (that means faster firerate if you don’t know)
-Ranger shotgun’s alt fire now uses dragonbreath rounds that do damage to both allies and enemies, be careful where you shoot.

v1.2

-New weapon: HEAV Pistol
-Nerfed the Glok, it nows has a lower dps and a higher energy usage rate
-Nerfed the SMG, you can not fire it continously for more than 4 seconds, slightly decrease its accuracy
-Tweaked the Ranger Shotgun, primary fire is now 2x faster, at the costs of half the damage it use to have
-Implemented custom sounds for the Revolver, Lever-action Rifle, Ranger Shotgun and the HEAV Pistol, mixed by yours truly.
