Description:

Historical Abstract*: The Oracle at Delphi was used by the ancient Greeks as a place where the elite would seek wisdom. Women would breathe vapors and hallucinate, and then their words would be translated by priests who were world and well-informed for the time. Advice was known to be easily misinterpreted, and someone who does not know themselves would use it to their own detriment.

*-My own words, and overly concise – see real sources for better information

In the ride: The ride leaves the station and passes through a tunnel to reveal the temple to Athena in its modern-day ruined form. It is one of the best known and most picturesque of the ruins at Delphi. The ride then goes through a foggy portal to move to a world combining the past and myth. The snake that Apollo banished from the Oracle is seen slithering away. A temple to Apollo banishing the snake is found directly behind the station, with a rendition of a more complete temple to Athena next to it in the center. Water features and fountains with blue fog represent the waters and gasses used by the oracles. The station itself is themed on more modern Greek architecture as would be found in locations like Santorini.
