I made this mod to give people the option of choosing either one (link to my other mod). Their functionality is almost the same, it gives you the ablity of crafting and automating production of ration packs, the difference is in the first mod i have added a research entry and modified two building, which made it great for easy use with new and existing saves, while in this new one i only added a research and a new building, which makes it great for compatibility.

The new building is called Storage: Ingredients, and it will store dried meat and foodcubes only, with a smaller inventory. Do take note that if you ever decided to add a permanent job to fill an animal feeder or a food store, the characters will empty the storage of ingredients and they won’t be able to craft with them anymore until you manually move them to the new storage.

Also note that i have no idea how the priority of storages works in kenshi, so you will likely have to fill the storage manually before production can begin again. The new storage will automatically be available by researching the ration pack recipe.
